Well....handicapping the women seems as good a way as ANY; unless we fire up some incense, and toss coins in a solemn i'ching type ritual. Hey, that may work too.
Seriously though, I don't need glasses, and I have enough testosterone running through me to fuel a Third World Country. I've never had any complaints about that....THANK THE GREAT ALMIGHTY LORD!!!! But I really think that your imagined "Liberal Guilt" is causing you to subliminaly view Madame Obummer in a much more inflated way than she deserves, mainly because her skin color has you too frozen with fear about saying anything disparaging about her. There is NOTHING attractive about her physical appearance. She isn't a pretty woman, plain and simple. She looks like a reject from a failed audition of SOUL TRAIN. Her features are average...at best. TRUE....she may be a little better looking than Bea Arthur, but then so are most petrie dish samples taken from labs.
As for Jackie.... I'll admit she wasn't bad looking, but I wouldn't call her the "face that launched a thousand ships" either. I mean, you have to admire a woman who doesn't need a mirror to put her earings on. Intellegence wise, Jackie was said to be rather THICK...but she did have some class to her. In fact she was VERY classy. She was always very polite to Marilyn, Angie, and the others, after their quickies with JFK. Michelle on the other hand, seems to be a very depressed, hateful, spiteful woman. There's NOTHING classy about her. Renfield from DRACULA had more dignity and class than Madame Obummer ever showed.

I love E.J. Dionne

Great writer, of course. But one time, I was wondering through the airport, with my head buried in a Washington Post, and I heard someone say, "hey, that sure is a great paper."
I looked up, and it was E.J. himself, with an impish grin.
Seems like he'd be a cool guy to hang with.

E.J. Dionne: 'Brand on the Run'

In "Brand on the Run" (the column which inspired this parody), E.J. Dionne writes:

In a remarkably open rebellion, Republican members of Congress and party strategists decried Bush's role in bringing down the Republican "brand," the party's failure to offer new policies, and the futility of campaigns rooted in the 1980s and '90s.
Rep. Tom Davis of Virginia, who is retiring, confessed to me that if his party "were dog food, they'd take us off the shelf and put us in a landfill."
Tony Fabrizio, a Republican pollster, said party leaders have "got their heads in the sand. They've kept on this track, they keep expecting miracles, and there are no miracles."
And Corker said voters did not believe the Republicans were "solving the major problems," notably guaranteeing Americans health coverage. "We just haven't been responsible," Corker said. "We deserve to be where we are. I hope we right ourselves."

handicapping the wives, phlegmy? really?

Since Hillary is no longer in this game, we can now even drop the pretense of open-mindedness and modern thinking about women? We now must examine these potential First Ladies as adornments attached to their husbands' arms? Hillary didn't deserve that when she was First Lady, and neither Cindy nor Michelle deserves that now. Both of these women off far more to the world than their looks. Both have strong minds and dynamic personalities. Frankly, however, I am stunned that you do not see Michelle's beauty. I think she has the potential to be the most stylish First Lady since Jackie Kennedy. (Of course, you probably hated her, too.)
Personally, I think you need to get your glasses fixed. Or have your doctor check your hormone levels; you may be running a bit low in a couple of key areas. That could explain things.

And just how long were you waiting to use a big word like "divergent", damule? I'm proud of you though. Anyone who has learned to read and write as recently as YOU have,(judging by the depth and quality of your posts) deservs some praise. You define "great writing", the same way Bella Abzug defined "good looks". Oh, were you able to tear yourself away from your BETTE MIDLER CDs long enough to try and find the missing "e" I deliberately left for you?
